Cultivation and propagation of Narcissus

Narcissus has nearly a thousand years of planting history, and has the good intention of missing and reuniting, so it is very popular. China's Narcissus is a variety of Narcissus with yellow flower core in the middle of white flowers, which is very fresh and beautiful. Narcissus has several cultivation methods and breeding methods, the following small weaving for flower friends to explain.

1、 Various correct cultivation methods of Narcissus:

1. Soil culture method: in October, choose flowerpots with drainage holes, prepare fertile sandy soil, and bury narcissus bulbs into the prepared soil, not all buried in the soil, but half on the surface of the soil. After planting, we should pour enough water, and then put it in a place with sufficient sunshine and good ventilation for maintenance.

2. Sand culture method: clean the fine sand and choose a flowerpot with strong air permeability. Here, it is recommended to use tile pots. Then peel off the skin of Narcissus, and then put the cleaned sand into a part of the flowerpot, and then put the Narcissus head and lay a layer of fine sand on it. Like soil culture, don't bury all bulbs. Then pour enough water to maintain in a cool place for a week, and then move to a place with good light for maintenance.

3. Hydroponic method: put the germinated Narcissus into the container, add 1 / 3 of water, and add some pebbles or quartz sand in the container to fix the bulb. Then ensure good lighting conditions, in the daytime can put it in the south of the good light window position, at night can be placed under the light.

2、 Multiple correct propagation methods of Narcissus:

1. Lateral bud propagation; lateral bud is the bud inside the bulb. If the bulb is divided, the lateral bud will be separated with the broken scales. The white bud will be selected and planted in the seedbed in autumn, and new bulbs will be born in the next year.

2. Lateral bulb propagation; lateral bulb propagation is the most common method of Narcissus. On both sides of the bulb, only the roots are connected together. In autumn, the lateral bulb will be separated from the mother body and planted separately. Next year, it will be a new Narcissus.

3. Double scale propagation; this is a method with the highest survival rate of Narcissus propagation. Put the bulb plate with two scales in the temperature of about 8 degrees for one to two months, then cut the bulb plate into small pieces with two scales, and then cut it to about 2 cm, and put it in the sand containing 6% water or vermiculite with 50% water content, and put it in 2% sealed plastic bag For two to three months in darkness above 10 degrees and below 30 degrees. Double scale propagation can be carried out at any time in any season, and the survival rate from April to September is the highest.

3、 Maintenance skills: sand and soil cultivated Narcissus should be kept moist and free from water, give it enough light, and give it liquid fertilizer two or three times before flowering. Hydroponic daffodils don't need any fertilizer. The temperature should be kept at about 15 degrees. In the early stage, the water should be changed once a day, after three days, after the bud is formed, the water can be changed once every seven days, as long as the water quality is clean.

4、 Diseases and insect pests: as long as the water quality of Narcissus under hydroponics is guaranteed, the diseases and insect pests, Penicillium and Fusarium wilt can be prevented and treated by corresponding drugs in sand culture and soil culture.

Narcissus is a very good plant for cultivation. It has the characteristics of storing nutrients in spring, growing in autumn and flowering in winter. It likes warmth, sunshine, and is afraid of heat and cold. As long as we grasp these, we can cultivate good Narcissus.
